Unlabelled Coonawarra Merlot 2019

A beautifully mature Coonawarra Merlot with plenty of ripe dark fruit and the softer, more savoury characters that come with a few years in bottle. The nose shows dark plum, black cherry and blueberry, with hints of dried herbs, cedar and subtle spice.

The palate is medium to full-bodied, with generous plum and dark berry flavours supported by fine, polished tannins. There’s a touch of chocolate and gentle oak in the background, adding complexity without overpowering the fruit.

Now drinking in a lovely place, with the 2019 vintage showing the balance and structure Coonawarra is known for. A smooth, generously flavoured Merlot with a lingering finish that’s easy to enjoy with red meat, pasta or a hearty winter meal.
