A mature and generously flavoured McLaren Vale Shiraz showing plenty of dark berry fruit alongside notes of blackberry, plum, spice and subtle chocolate. With a few years in bottle, the fruit has developed greater savoury complexity, with hints of dried herbs, leather and earthy spice emerging in the background.

The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with ripe dark fruit, fine tannins and a gentle savoury character through the mid-palate. There’s good concentration and balance, with enough acidity to keep the wine fresh and a lingering finish. An approachable, mature Shiraz with plenty of flavour and complexity, drinking well now.

Sourced from three vineyards 45-70yo, crushed separately, 8 days on skins in upright static fermenters, twice-daily pumpovers, run off skins at 2 degrees baume. It's medium-bodied, reflecting the freshness of the fruit and its pliable texture. Oak and tannins both do what is expected of them.
